HVLS principle gives mass displacement of air

Under any circumstances you will expect optimal production of your animals and efficient use of your labour. The same goes for your machinery and equipment.

Whisper-quiet and energy-efficient HVLS cooling fans displace an enormous amount of air per hour and provide a pleasant breeze inside your barn.

Six dirt-repellent Wisperfoil TM rotor blades, especially developed for cowsheds, are pushing the air down toward the ground. The result is a 2.5 m high air column up from the floor, spreading in all directions inside the barn. This creates an enormous displacement of air, up to as much as 640,000 m3/h!

The effective range of the HVLS fans is up to 45 metres, and running at 65 rpm it will give full air recirculation inside your barn.

Air displacement in the barn
The HVLS is pushing the air down toward the ground. The horizontal air column is then pushed against the walls and is discharged via the roof through the ridge of the building. The suction this creates through the openings in the sidewalls contributes to the supply of fresh outside air.

DSD HVLS controller gives you various options for controlling your HVLS cooling fans, from very simple to automatic continuously variable speed control by the frequency regulator and controlled by measuring the temperature and/or the air humidity.

One or more HVLS cooling fans are controlled based on various pre-set target values in the barn. In that way the controls act like an intelligent system.

The various control units are easily installed at a convenient location inside the barn.
