With good stable fans you can create a comfortable stable climate for your animals all year round. During windless or warm days, even the best is natural ventilation not enough to maintain the temperature in the stable. By adding good cooling fans, this is possible.
Heat stress occurs when the cow cannot dissipate its body heat sufficiently. That is why a good stable climate with fresh, moving air is a primary need for your cow. Heat stress causes all kinds of problems, from eating less and up to 25% less milk production, to damage to the unborn calf. read here the '21 Degree Action Plan' from UGCN.
One way to ventilate the stable is through vertical ventilation. Large quantities of air are moved using High Velocity Low Speed (HVLS) fans.
The HVLS pushes the air downward. The horizontal air column then bounces off the walls, causing it to be discharged through the roof and through the ridge. The suction effect contributes to the supply of fresh outside air via side wall openings.
You expect optimal production from your livestock and efficient use of labor under all circumstances. You can expect this from your machines and equipment.
Whisper quiet and energy efficient HVLS cooling fans move a massive amount of air per hour and bring a pleasant breeze into your stable.
Six dirt-repellent WhisperfoilTM rotor blades, specially developed for livestock stables, push the air downwards. A 2,5 meter high air column is created via the floor that is distributed in all directions of the stable. This creates a massive air movement of up to 640.000 m3/hour!
The effective range of the HVLS fans is up to 45 meters and achieves overall air circulation in your stable at a maximum of 65 rpm. Our cooling giants more than meet all expectations!
HVLS cooling fans fall under the EIA regulation!
The fan can be controlled based on temperature and/or humidity
1 Humidity sensor
2 Thermostat
Sensors are installed at a suitable location in the stable.
DSD HVLS controller gives you various options for controlling your HVLS cooling fans, from simple to automatic, stepless speed control of the frequency controller and controlled by measuring temperature and/or humidity.
One or more HVLS cooling fans are controlled based on the various target values set by you in advance in the stable. The control is thus a complete 'self-thinking system'.
The various control boxes can easily be mounted in an easily accessible location in the stable.
• Thermal motor protection
• Safety cable 5 mm stainless steel
• Tension cables (4 pieces)
• Rotor break protection
HVLS cooling fans fall under the EIA regulation!
Two years ago, HVLS fans were installed at the VOF Reijenga Harich dairy farm by DSD stable equipment. In this video Marije Reijenga talks about their experience with the installation and use of the fans.
