Ster® cubicle partitions are distinguished by the completely free head space, perfect guidance and the fact that there is no obstacle whatsoever to the front. This ensures that the cow will like to lie down, which stimulates rumination and therefore milk production. Cow welfare is the key word for us!
Why the correct cubicle size is important
A box deck that is too small will prevent the cow from lying down. And when she does lie down, it will be in a forced manner. Lying down less is detrimental to milk production. So you want to avoid this at all times. And ideally, the cow lies spacious and square in the cubicle.
As a farmer you know (unconsciously) exactly how a cow lies down. She drops to her front knees, after which she puts her hind legs forward and lowers her body. To stand up, she leans forward to raise her hindquarters, then extends her front legs one by one.
In order to be able to make these movements unhindered, a box is needed that not only offers space to lie down, but also space to move the head and move forward. Ster® cubicle partitions guide the cow forward along the short ribs, which ensures that the cow will lie squarely in the box. The Ster® cubicle partition is also equipped with a sloping down tube that does not hinder the hip joints and also prevents the cow can get stuck.

Ster® is the perfect cubicle for your cow and stable
The shape and dimensions of the Ster® cubicle partition are the result of years of experience and scientific research. The dimensions generously comply with the Sustainable Livestock Farming Standard (MDV). The length of the box deck and the height and placement of the side guide, wither beam, nose beam and knee beam are determined based on our own dimensions.
We look at your livestock for our advice. The sizes are determined based on the 20% largest and heaviest animals, so that every cow can lie down comfortably. For example, a wavy wither bar can be used to ensure that even the largest animals can lie down and stand up unhindered.
Ster® cubicle partitions are suitable for every stable. Various solutions can be devised for cramped stables, such as moving the box deck backwards or moving the outer wall. Double inner rows can also be set up more compactly to create space for the outer rows.

Our measurements are based on the total length, withers-tail length, torso length, height at the withers, stance, width and lying print of the cow. This allows us to adjust the dimensions to each cow.
