Cubicle partitioning that suits your cows is of great importance for both the comfort of your cows and efficient use of space in your stable. DSD Flex Box cubicle partitions are suitable for any cubicle covering and can be adapted to any type of cow and any stable, old or new.
These innovative cubicle partitions are made from fiberglass rods and hot-dip galvanized connecting parts, offering exceptional robustness and flexibility compared to traditional steel cubicles. The combination of durable materials ensures that the boxes bend with the movements of the cows, allowing the cow to lie comfortably.
Why the correct cubicle size is important
A box deck that is too small will prevent the cow from lying down. And when she does lie down, it will be in a forced manner. Lying down less is detrimental to milk production. So you want to avoid this at all times. And ideally, the cow lies spacious and square in the cubicle.
As a farmer you know (unconsciously) exactly how a cow lies down. She drops to her front knees, after which she puts her hind legs forward and lowers her body. To stand up, she leans forward to raise her hindquarters, then extends her front legs one by one.
In order to be able to make these movements unhindered, a box is needed that not only offers space to lie down, but also space to move the head and move forward.

Thanks to the narrow fiberglass bars, livestock farmers can have a better view of their cows. In addition, the space between the cubicle partitions is optimally used. Traditionally, cubicle dividers are 60mm in diameter. With the DSD Flex Box cubicle partition this has been reduced to 31 mm.
