Healthy claws are of great importance for the cow. Although we want a dairy cow to lie down a lot, she must also be able to stand comfortably. Lameness has a negative effect on feed intake, milk yield, fertility, life expectancy and general well-being.
The cow can easily be treated in the claw treatment box. She remains standing quietly in the front fence, is lifted up a little in the abdominal girth, after which her legs can be held up one by one. This allows the claws to be inspected, trimmed and treated safely, quickly and easily.
You can do more for healthy feet than regular trimming. A comfortable and clean stable will ensure that the cow lies down sufficiently and that she does not contract infections.
High cow comfort and welfare will soon be reflected in milk production. Our specialists are happy to come to your stable to see what the possibilities are.
